About us
Family-owned plumbers Austin has trusted since 2009
Acme Plumbing started with one van and a simple promise: show up on time, fix it right and charge a fair price. Fifteen years and 12,000 jobs later, that promise hasn’t changed.
Our story
It started with one van and a promise
Mike Alvarez opened Acme Plumbing in 2009 after ten years with the big franchise shops. He had seen too many customers quoted one price on the phone and another on the invoice, so he built the company around the opposite idea: tell people the truth, in plain language, before any work starts.
Today we are a team of twelve licensed plumbers and office staff, still based in South Austin, still answering the phone ourselves. Most new customers come from neighbors who already called us once.

How we work
The rules we don’t break
Six things every customer can count on, on every job, from every technician.
Upfront, flat-rate pricing
You approve the exact price before we pick up a wrench. The number on the quote is the number on the invoice.
On time, or we call
We book two-hour windows and text you when we’re on the way. If we’re running late, you hear it from us first.
Licensed master plumbers
Every job is done or supervised by a licensed master plumber. No subcontractors, no trainees working alone.
Clean work, clean home
Shoe covers, drop cloths and a vacuum ride on every truck. We leave your home the way we found it.
Honest recommendations
If a repair will outlast a replacement, we’ll tell you. We don’t sell what you don’t need.
Guaranteed workmanship
Our labor is backed by a one-year guarantee. If something we fixed fails, we come back for free.
